Today our readings focus of God's forgiveness of our sins.  The reading tells us about King David who was using his power for evil things.  When the prophet Nathan points this out to him, he confess his sins and God forgives him.  The gospel tells us of the woman who was a public sinner.  She knelt beside Jesus and washed his feet with her tears.  She puts ointment on his feet.  Jesus sees how sorry she is for her sins and he forgives her.  "Because you believed, your sins are completely forgiven.  Go in peace."
