In our reading we hear about a king who is powerful yet rides on a donkey, a symbol of lowliness or humility. 

 

In  our gospel, Jesus invites us to imitate him in his humility and gentleness.  What is humility?  Humility is to know yourself and to accept yourself the way you are.  You don’t pretend to be better or worse than you are.
