15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A
In our reading, God tells us that rain and snow fall so that things grow so we have food. The word of God is like that. It falls so we learn more about God. Our faith grows each time we listen to or read the Word of God (bible). Sometimes, it takes several times of hearing a story before we understand it.
In our gospel, Jesus told a parable to a large crowd of people. A person planted some seeds. Some fell beside a path and were eaten by birds. Some fell on rock but without good roots, they dried up when the sun came out. Some fell in thorns so they didn’t have enough room to grow so they died. Some fell on good soil and were plentiful.
