There will not be any Children's Liturgy today because Cathy is away on vacation.  See you on July 31st!

Our reading tells us about the people who lived in the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.  God was going to punish everyone who lived there by destroying the cities. Abraham appealed to God to save the cities if 50, 45, 30, 20, or even 10 good people were found.  God said that yes, he would save the cities even if only 10 people were good.

 

Our gospel tells us about the Lord's Prayer.  God invites us to pray for those things which we need and which will lead us to a better life.  Jesus said, "Ask, and you will have what you ask for.  Seek, and you will find what you are looking for.  Knock, and the door will be opened for you."
