1st Sunday in Lent, Year C

Our gospel tells us of how Jesus spent 40 days is the desert and the devil tried to tempt him.  Jesus passed all of his tests because of his deep faith in God.  During lent we are called to do 3 things:  fasting, alms giving, and prayer.  Fasting involves using less of something than you normally would.  Examples may include video games, junk food, etc.  Alms Giving is giving money, food, clothing, toys, our time, etc. to others.  Prayer is spending time talking to God.  Ideally, we set aside a certain time of our day to say prayers and talk to God.
