23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A

10/09/2017 09:00

No Children's Liturgy today!  Please join us for our Children Led Mass at 9:00 at St. Agnes!

In our reading, God gave Ezekiel a lot of responsibility.  He is called to warn people who are doing evil things.  If he doesn’t, he will be blamed for what they do.  If he does and they don’t change, they will be punished instead of him.  If they change then God will be happy.

In our gospel, Jesus was talking to his disciples and he told them that if a person does something wrong you should talk to them in private first.  If they listen then you have been helpful.  If they don’t, you should bring a few other people with you and try again.  If they still won’t listen, then tell the Christian community.  If they still won’t listen, then they will sin anyways.  Jesus then said that if two or more pray about something then God will answer your prayers.  If two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name then he is there too.
