Please join us for the Children Led Mass today during the 9:00 mass!
In our reading we hear the story of how God had a beautiful vineyard with the best of everything in it. He gave it everything so there would be good grapes. When God looked for good grapes, he only found wild and bitter grapes. When he looked for justice and fairness and goodness, he found evil and killing and people crying because they were suffering.
In our gospel, we hear the parable of a vineyard owner built a wall around his vineyard to protect it and he built a tower in the middle to watch over it. He hired workers to take care of the vineyard and he left to live in another country. The owner sent his servants to collect his share from the workers and they were beaten and killed. He sent more servants and they were also beaten and killed. He sent his Son, next and he was also killed. Jesus reminded the chief priests and leaders of the Psalm where “The stone which the builders did not want has become the cornerstone.” He told them that the reign of heaven will be taken away from those who do evil and will be given to good people who do what is good.
