We are almost at the end of our church year so the readings and gospel talk a lot about the end of the world.  In our reading, Jesus asks us to follow him as a true friend.  Those who are evil will be judged accordingly.  We need to start thinking about whether we are followers of Jesus or not.  In our gospel, we hear that we do not know when the end of the world will be.  Only God knows that.  We hear about lots of different things that will happen before then, such as wars and riots.  We are called to live our lives in ways where we are following Jesus and working toward our eternal home, heaven.  The end of the world is something to look forward to as long as we are followers of Jesus.
