4th Sunday in Lent, Year B

In our reading, we hear that we did not do anything to deserve everlasting life with God (heaven).  This is God's gift to us.

In our gospel, Nicodemus came secretly to Jesus to find out more about him.  Unlike the other Pharisees, Nicodemus believed in what Jesus was saying.  Jesus told him that the Chosen One (Jesus) must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in God will live forever, that Jesus came to save the world, that evil people stay in the dark and good people stay in the light.
