In the Gospel, we hear how Jesus came into the city of Jerusalem riding on a donkey.  When the people heard Jesus was coming they spread their clothes on the ground and waved branches.  They cheered and sang “Hosanna in the highest.  Blessed is he who comes in the Lord’s name.”  

In our reading, we hear how Jesus humbled himself by being a human being like us. 

In our Gospel reading of the Passion, we hear how Jesus had enemies who were jealous of him and hated him.  They made him suffer a lot.  We will hear how Barrabas, a known criminal, was released and Jesus was crucified.
