Twin Parishes Advent Giving Tree Project

Marian Centre – Dark coloured Men’s Clothing Only

The Marian Centre serves the poor in downtown Edmonton by providing for the homeless and needy 5 days a week.

Gently used items:  belts, jeans, hoodies, sweat pants, t-shirts, thermal underwear, large winter gloves (no mittens), winter boots, and winter jackets. 

New items:   briefs (not XL), woolen socks, insoles, deodorant, and disposable razors.

Lurana Shelter Society – Gift Cards and New and Unopened Items Only

The Lurana Shelter Society is an emergency shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. 

Due to limited storage space, the most needed items are Gift cards (Superstore, Safeway, Sobeys, Tim Horton’s, Starbucks, Gas Stations, iTunes, Chapters, and Dollar Stores).  Please place any gift cards in an envelope marked “Lurana Shelter” and put them in the collection basket. 

New items only:  women’s pajamas, women’s slippers, hand towels, bath towels, and face cloths.

We will be collecting items throughout December.   Please place donation items in the boxes located by the Giving Tree at either church.  Feel free to take a decoration from our “Giving Tree” when you donate to our project.  Thank you for your generosity.
